April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Drugs and Sexual Assault—What You Should Know: Whether at a bar, at a party, or even at a “friend’s” home, drug-facilitated sexual assault can happen to anyone at any time. For this reason, it’s important that the young people in your life understand the danger and are aware of the facts to protect themselves from becoming victims.

To learn what drugs are most often used for drug-facilitated sexual assault, a list of things your teen should be on the lookout for, along with other helpful resources visit Get Smart About Drugs.

In 2020, ADAPT was the recipient of a $5,000 mini-grant from the Missouri Department of Mental Health.

This grant funded a Medication Safety Project designed to decrease prescription drug misuse by coordinating and promoting medication disposal opportunities. It also facilitated and promoted awareness of medication use, safe storage, and proper disposal of unused and expired medications.
Huge thank you to our local prevention resource center, Community Partnership of the Ozarks, for assistance in submitting the grant application. Stay tuned for more info on the project and how you can be involved!
